*FLASHING LIGHTS WARNING*
Starting with Anserganger, a ZZT shoot em up with free to play mechanics. Pilot an experimental and quite bumpy rocket and shoot down some very erratic foes. Featuring some impressive art boards and "parallax" scrolling in the introduction animation. Some intense flashing in this one that has been toned down since.
Then, Chicken Shock, which now that I've played everything I can for the jam, is the clear winner. Get wire cutters to cut a hole in some chickenwire fencing. It sounds easy enough. But your journey will take you all across town in search of the macguffin, with wrenches, ethernet cables, uranium, zoo tickets, and more keeping you from your goal. Not merely an elaborate trade quest, many of the more action-y boards impress and troll quite well too. Deal with avalanches of boulder puzzles, discarded land mines, and a lengthy and brilliant UFO puzzle that's multiple challenges in one. A great play from beginning to end!
