This is perhaps the only ZZT whose design goal was to elicit both the feelings of "fury" and "boy" at the same time, but how well did it succeed on these two fronts?

In terms of fury, the most infuriating part of this was the fact that the game was accidentally saved on the title screen and thus needed to be modified in order to properly start. Aside from that, it failed to give me fury and instead provided me with a feeling of modest amusement through the its particular use of labelling text and energizers.

In terms of feeling like "boy", it was rather lacking. The only effort the game put into eliciting that feeling was using the word "boy" in three different bits of label text. Personally, I did not find it very convincing. The Fury Boy never personally asserts his sense of boyhood, so we have to rely on the unreliable testimony of an unknown third-party instead.

Final Verdict: While its goals certainly do exist, there are better ZZT worlds out there if you want to truly feel like a "fury boy".
